Misleadingly utopian advert in Israeli newspaper encouraging 'religious Zionists' to settle the Golan Heights. The settlements are heavily subsidised indirectly by US taxpayers. Despite international assurances to the contrary settlements have expanded by over 50% in the last 10 years, most of them strategically located. The total population of settlers has risen to half a million. Each settler requires a much higher number of Israeli soldiers to 'protect' them.
